Cribbar 15 January 2009

Cribbar days, I love them.

I do, I love them and they’ve been happening lately, well 2 in nearly as many days is great, but thats as much about the tides as it is the swell. 2009 is shaping up nicely so far. We poured out around the back of the break as the sun was getting low, set ourselves up and promptly got almost cleaned up by a super wide set wave that practically broke from behind little Fistral ! The Skinners/Relentless tow team , Ben Skinner and Ben Granata, were once again joined by the official Cribbar seal, a nosey character who goes by the name of “Boss” for a 2 hour tow and pick up session. All is good.
Granata started proceedings off with a wide right that chased us across the bay from little Fistral

Zorbas showed up occasionally on the horizon, just to let everyone know who’s the real boss, as if there was ever any real doubt ?

and Skinner finished it with the last wave of the day, after the wind had died and the sun had set.

Then, as the light really faded, back home, noodles and fish
