growing groms and cider trees
We grow mainly trees and butterflies actually..unless you count herd of children as farm animals (debatable). We did a big oak planting here about 10 yrs ago… 200 ravers with spades & cider… now a strong emphasis on wild flowers & bio-diversity in the remaining organic grassland. The cows & sheep keep the sward height right for the flowers to have enough light, and the butterflies live on the flowers…. and around it all goes…while we sneak off to the beach. We’re harvesting a bit of timber on a sustainable rotation… do a bit of flooring & building stuff for local projects. Got some good plans in the offing for home made wind generator…check these guys out http://www.otherpower.com/ some time we’re going to make some timber boards… I’m learning on foam at the mo (quiver to date attached!) but got a wicked plan for using Devon ########### (shhhh) for organic blanks ha ha!!!
