One year ago, almost to the day, just after dawn there were 6 people in the water at Mullaghmore Head. 6 People, from all corners of the world, 2 Irish, 2 Cornish, one Scottish South African and a Geordie, all came together to meet a big West swell. Duncan Scott, Al Mennie, Gabe Davies, Richie Fitz, Mickey Smith and me.
With less than 9 hours to go, Magic Seaweed was still reporting the wave buoys to be 46 feet at 17 seconds.
So, in the morning, through the rain, hail, tears, sunshine and spray we saw big stuff happen, and I for one, wont be forgetting it. Thanks

Tony Plant swims and paints. He has 6 toes, knows not as much as he should, and probably, as a direct result, set up surftwisted, a creative collective, where all the Guinnae Pigs swim.
Lives in Cornwall, loves it. www.tonyplant.co.uk
