Aileens - a good man to ask about this place would be Mr Al Meenie. Al has paddled, towed, screamed and gawped at this wave from every angle, so this might, could be, possibly be an insight into what its a bit like, ish, kinda maybe… it must be like this, isn’t it ? Surely
“Aileens, yeah, this is a combo two for one special. a large rock base projects from the base of the cliff here and remains shallow for about 300yrds before it drops off like a ledge to 20m deep. The entire base is littered with uneven evil slabs of rock which are scattered across it. Can make wipeouts dangerous as there are very shallow spots, caves and deep holes to think of when you’re rolling around down there with a 30 footer on your head”. Al Meenie
