Mullaghmore- a good man to ask about this place, Al Meenie. Al has paddled, towed, screamed and gawped at this wave from every angle, so this is what its a bit like, ish, kinda maybe… “Mullaghmore is a heavy slab/ledge- this spot has two different ledges. The inside one breaks all the time and can be seen protruding from the water at some low tides. The outer ledge rises from 20m deep to 5m within a couple 100yrds forcing the already huge lines marching into the bay to stack and jack even more. You know when you’ve gone on a proper big one here cos the boils from the ledge start to gargle in the face and just as you’ve made it on a monster they appear and you have to kinda wheelie over them” !
